This Network Technician Diploma program gives the students hands-on critical networking skills that employers demand. Graduates will have an understanding of communication and support training, students receive training on popular operating systems including Microsoft Windows 10 & Microsoft Windows Servers. They will be able to be employed by commercial & industrial establishments, government departments, & technology firms or consulting businesses.
The Network Support Technician Diploma program prepares graduates for positions working in computer and network-related administration. Graduates will understand how to:
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware technology in PC and mobile devices.
- Configure, repair, and troubleshoot operating systems.
- Set up, secure, and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN and WAN).
- Implement virtual local area networks (VLAN).
- Maintain and monitor servers in physical and virtual environments.
- Communicate effectively and maintain relationships in a professional setting.
- Assess and secure job opportunities in their field of study.
- Utilize popular operating systems, including Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Windows Servers.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years or older)
- International students must provide proof of English language proficiency through ONE of the following measures:
Minimum 50% in English 12 or 67% in Communications 12.
Minimum 50% in post-secondary level English or Communications coursework.
- Successful completion of a standardized language proficiency test at or above ONE of the following standards:
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 6
- IELTS 5.5 with no band lower than 5
- TOEFL iBT score of 46 Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) score of 162
- Pearson Test of English (PTE-A) score of 45.4
- Versant English Placement Test (VEPT) score of 46
